LA maintained schools told us that they value unlimited access to important Health and Safety training and we have set up a course on the Blackboard training platform. This training includes PowerPoints, YouTube videos and quizzes that can be accessed anytime and anywhere that suits. It is accessible for staff and governors alike.

As part of the Core offer, LA maintained schools have been sent their login details and each school will have an individual login.

The majority of the on-line training courses have been uploaded and include:

• Business continuity planning
• Control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)
• Basic Electrical safety
• Fire awareness (annual training)
• Legionella awareness
• Manual handling (objects)
• Radon awareness
• Working at height awareness

We have also added help folders on Civica Property Management and EEC which include recorded webinars and guidance documents.

Look out for ‘announcements’ sent from the system when new courses are added soon, such as Display Screen Assessor and Risk Assessment.
