A series of free online training sessions is available to help organisations improve accessibility and inclusion for disabled people.
Delivered by Spark Somerset, Somerset Council and Evenbreak, the programme covers practical topics to help organisations create more inclusive services, workplaces and communities. Each session lasts 30 minutes and is designed for staff, volunteers and anyone involved in supporting local communities.

Topics include:
- Mental health inclusion for frontline and community work
- Inclusive recruitment
- Creating neuro-inclusive community sessions
- Inclusive volunteer recruitment and onboarding
- Making community spaces and outreach activities more accessible
- Accessible communications and social media
- Running accessible and inclusive events on any budget
Some training sessions will be held alongside existing meetings and networks, with attendees able to join just the training element or stay for the wider event.
Additional support available
Alongside the training programme, Somerset-based voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations can apply for one of 50 free Best Practice Portal licences. The licences provide access to an online learning hub featuring micro-learning modules, practical resources and insights from people with lived experience to help organisations strengthen their approach to accessibility and inclusion. Licences will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
