The Schools Sun Protection Information Sheet has been updated to include links to Sun Safe Schools which is a free national accreditation programme developed by Skcin. They provide primary schools nationwide with all the tools, resources and support needed to fulfil their duty of care to safeguard children against UV, raise awareness of skin cancer across the wider school community and develop children’s knowledge of sun safety to prevent skin cancer through education.

Skcin have worked with quality manufacturer, Deb (now part of SC Johnson Professional) for the last seven years, providing primary schools and pre-schools across the UK with quality SPF 50 sunscreen, dispensers and sun stations with UV dial and mirror.

Under the new PHSE (Health and Prevention) Curriculum which came into force September 2020, all English primary schools must now educate pupils about safe and unsafe exposure to the sun and how to reduce the risk of sun damage, including skin cancer.
