What a great way to remember Health and Safety tasks – Water Wednesdays and Fire Fridays!  St John’s Infant school in Glastonbury has this simple mantra and it really helps the team with their tasks and compliance. Midweek on a Wednesday the office staff flush all the infrequently used outlets and log this in their Legionella folder.

Weekly on a Friday, the team know they will be checking a fire call-point and monthly Friday is the day to check fire extinguishers and emergency lights, this is all then logged on the F10 Fire Forms in the onsite fire folder. The office administrator also attaches one of these forms as evidence to the monthly “F10 Fire Check Questionnaire” on Civica, and guess what, she does this on a Friday!
